A Strong Foundation of Faith

At the heart of City of Life School of Ministry (COLSM) is a commitment to fostering a strong foundation of faith. City of Life Church was founded in 1986 by Drs. Gary and Janis Smith with just a handful of attendees.  Since then, it has grown into a multi-thousand-member church in the community where people can find hope in Jesus Christ. Now led by Dr. Jeffrey and Pastor Amy Smith, the church continues to expand its reach and mission, emphasizing creative ministry.  Through immersive teachings, dedicated faculty, and a vibrant community, you'll delve into the depths of scripture, gaining insights that will shape your worldview and guide your path.  

Dynamic Learning Environment

Through our partnership with Southeastern University (SEU), City of Life School of Ministry students can earn credits toward a world-class college education during their internship. Students may pursue the Associate of Arts, General Education; Associate of Ministerial Leadership; or Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership.  Focused tracks within the Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership degree program include Biblical Studies, Worship and Pastoral Care/Counseling.

In this program, you’ll engage in interactive classes, workshops, and events that cater to various learning styles. The goal is academic achievement and personal and spiritual growth that extends beyond the classroom.

Practical Ministry Training

Mastering theory alone is not enough. City of Life School of Ministry recognizes the importance of practical application. With hands-on ministry training, you'll have the opportunity to put your knowledge into action every week. Whether it's community outreach, leadership development, or service within the church, you'll be well-prepared for real-world ministry.
