Every year, City of Life Church gathers on a special day known as Our Heart for the House Sunday to celebrate the incredible work that God has accomplished through our church family over the past year. It’s a time of reflection, gratitude, and unity, where we focus on how God has used us to serve Our Home (the church), Our Backyard (the community), and Our World, all while emphasizing the biblical principle of generous giving. This year, Our Heart For the House will take place on Sunday, November 12 in both our 9:30 and 11:30 am services.
At the heart of this annual celebration is our annual miracle offering, which is based on the conviction that we, as a church family, are called to generosity. This calling is deeply rooted in Scripture, where we find numerous verses that encourage us to be generous and giving.
One such verse is found in 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV): "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." This verse teaches us that giving should be a joyful act, motivated by love and a willing heart. Our Heart for the House Sunday is an opportunity for us to joyfully give, not out of obligation, but out of our love for God and His people.
Our Home: The Church

In Acts 2:44-45 (NIV), we find the early church setting an example: "All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need." Our Backyard: The Community
