Have you ever made a half-hearted decision? You decide you want to do something, but then you get nervous as you’re deciding it. So you leave a little room just in case it doesn't work out. We make a plan B.

I believe having a plan B is a problem with all of us concerning our faith in God. Instead of going all-in for a path God is leading us down, we leave open a plan B if things don’t work out.  One foot is in and one foot is out. Do we really have faith in God when we do that? Did you know that the Lord is drawing us by faith, and that means he intends for us to trust him fully and live all-in?

In Deuteronomy16:21-22, God told Israel not to set up any sacred Asherah poles or sacred stones beside the altar which was built for God. What the Lord was finding is that the nation of Israel, while trying to serve him, was also trying to serve other things. They wanted to have one foot in and maybe a little toe out, just in case it didn't work out with God. He had to tell Israel to stop living partially in and partially out.

Like Israel, we need to make our mind up. Seek the kingdom of God. There is either all-in or there is all-out, but there is no in-between.

In Hebrews 12:2, we read that we are to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus who is the author and the finisher of our faith. It means he started it and if we let him lead us, he will finish, but we have to go all-in and trust him. Are you willing to go all-in with God and give up your plan B?
