The Word Became Flesh

By Pastor Jeffrey Smith

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. - John 1:14 (NIV)

Jesus is God. I'm thankful that the Messiah has come. God stepped down from heaven to earth to become a man. God is with us and that means that he can relate to whatever we're going through because Jesus became flesh; he became one of us.

The book of Hebrew chapter 4 explains he was tempted in every way just like we are, yet he did not sin. Jesus has been there and he overcame sin.

For the addict or the person that just can't seem to quit, they may say, “No one can relate to what I'm going through.” Just know that Jesus became flesh. It means he's been where you are.

For the depressed person that feels like you can't get joy in your life and no one understands where you’re coming from, Jesus has been there and he overcame it.

He overcame sin, death and the grave to be resurrected so you could have hope and life. You're never alone. God is with us. He's always here. It's not possible to be alone because you have the presence of God with you wherever you go.

For the man that is sleeping outside under the open air who doesn't even have a house to live in because he's homeless, I got good news for you. God is with you where you are.

For the person that is on top of the world right now, everything is working out and you just got the promotion. God is with you wherever you are.

For the brokenhearted person, know that he will never leave you nor forsake you. God is with you. He could have remained distant, but he came to live the life that we could not live.

Today, believe fully with your heart and your soul that Jesus has died for you and for every one of your sins.  Put your faith in the one who became one of us.
