Seeds of Faith

New Years Day brings a fresh clean slate for each of us. It’s a new opportunity to activate desired changes and improvements in our lives. Sometimes the changes require big action, but often, major shifts occur via small, yet decisive steps of faith. You must choose God’s best for your life daily, and He will move mountains. Your choices are seeds of faith.
Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Matthew 17:20 (NLT)
Faith as small as a mustard seed produces big results. Although the seed is small in size, over time it can grow up into a plant that is 9 feet tall. Seeds carry potential and greatness beyond what is seen with the natural eye. The same can be said of your intentional choices. Saving a small portion of a paycheck weekly, or tackling debt responsibly creates a momentum that gets you closer to financial freedom. Small, consistent changes or actions will always bring you closer to your goal. What do your seeds of faith look like?
God partners with our faith to move mountains. Mountains come in many forms -- obstacles, stress, challenges, heaviness, depression, debt, relational tension, sickness, and fear. God uses mountains to release a resilient faith in you. The greatest weapon we have against defeat is a mind convinced that you and God can handle anything that comes your way. Your faith will be tested, but God is bigger than our mountains.
The Bible says to “count the cost” when it comes to building anything of significance.How will you activate your faith this year? What type of resolve and resources will you need to accomplish your goals? What type of resistance may you encounter? I encourage you to seek God for wisdom and develop a realistic plan of action. Allow Him to guide you, especially when it comes to facing potential obstacles. God in you is bigger than any mountain. Faith-filled, daily actions give us the power and authority to tell things that have held us back to MOVE!
