About Pastor John and Pastor Nikki:

John and Nikki Sierra serve as Dream Team Pastors at City of Life Church, where they lead with joy, vision, and a deep love for people. Together, they’re passionate about building thriving volunteer teams, cultivating lifelong friendships through service, and raising up the next generation of leaders.

Nikki has been part of the City of Life family since she was five years old. With years of experience leading large volunteer teams, she brings energy, wisdom, and a heart for discipleship into every area she leads. She’s most proud of her “little tribe”—her husband John and their two adorable kids, Selah and Liam. When she’s not studying or serving, you’ll probably find her enjoying a romantic comedy with pizza (lasagna is a close second) or rewatching a favorite superhero movie from either DC or Marvel. Her favorite scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:14–15,

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.  For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing."

John is a true “John of all trades.” Alongside Nikki, he helps lead and shepherd Dream Team volunteers, encouraging a culture of community and genuine connection within every team. Whether he’s welding, woodworking, building something with his hands, or leading worship with his favorite electric guitar, John brings passion and creativity to everything he does. He loves taking his family out for Peruvian food and cherishes every moment spent with Nikki, Selah, and Liam. His favorite verse, Psalm 100:1–2,

“On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into His presence.”

Together, John and Nikki embody the heart of City of Life: faith-filled, family-centered, servant-hearted, and full of joy.
