We are excited to announce we are making plans for in-person gatherings at our Kissimmee location.  We know you probably have a lot of questions surrounding what it will look like for us to gather again.  What will be the same?  What will be different?  We want you to know that your safety has always been our priority, and it is even more important to us than ever before.  That is why we are taking the guidelines of the CDC, and the guidance of our federal, state, and local authorities very seriously as we plan for our reopening.

Our first day of reopening will be Sunday, August 2.  We will open our Kissimmee location first.  Then, we will reopen our locations in Nona and South Orlando at later dates.

Seating capacity will be limited to allow for physical distancing, which means we will require advanced reservations (a free ticket) for each service.

Sanitizing stations will be available and we will request that each attendee sanitize his/her hands upon entry.  We will ask that all attendees wear face coverings while attending church.

These are temporary measures that will be in place until risk is minimized and the need for social distancing subsides.

Will the building be completely open for anyone to attend in-person, or will I have to get a ticket?

We will start small with a limited capacity so we can practice physical distancing. To ensure that we do not exceed this capacity, we will ask that you and your family reserve a seat to attend a service time. Once reservations are available, we will update the information here and inform you through our various communication platforms. The best way to stay in touch is through our email newsletter. You can be added to the list at col.tv/news.  You can also download The Church Center App on your mobile device - that is where reservations will be made, once they become available.

What health and safety measures are you taking?

We are asking you to enjoy church online instead of in person if, in the past 14 days, you or anyone in your household has:

  • been diagnosed with COVID-19,
  • been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19,
  • experienced flu-like symptoms or a fever of 100.4 or higher
  • traveled out of the country or to an area considered to be a COVID-19 hot spot, or
  • had a persistent cough.

What kind of sanitation and disinfection procedures are you using?

We've added hand sanitation stations in multiple locations and everyone will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entry. We will be practicing physical distancing and are making our services "touchless," eliminating many of our typical practices for the time being, like passing the offering buckets, response cards, and pens in pews, and passing out Sunday magazines, in order to reduce the spread of germs.

Our team will clean high-touch surfaces and do a thorough cleaning of the auditorium after the 9:30 service in order to sanitize it for the next service. We've also greatly increased our regular cleaning of the auditorium and guest areas with EPA-approved disinfectants.

In addition, common areas like the foyer and Parent-Child room will be closed for the time being to encourage social distancing.

Will City Kids classes be available?

City Kids services will not be available right away. Instead, we've decided to phase our City Kids services in slowly as we are able to ensure that our spaces are safe for children. Families who have quarantined together are encouraged to attend together in the auditorium. And we will continue providing our City Kids online services.

Can I still attend online?

Church at Home is a big part of who we are, and we love our online church family! We realize that many of you may not be ready to return to church, and some may not be able to return for various reasons. We strongly encourage older adults and people of all ages with underlying medical conditions who are at higher risk of severe illness to stay home and enjoy Church at Home at cityoflife.live, live on our youtube page, or on Facebook live each Sunday at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30.

Will the Dream Team be serving again?

Yes! We rely on our Dream Team help serve and make church a safe place for people to worship, both in person and online! Contact Pastor Franko Cintron if you have questions about serving at franko@col.tv
